WELCOME...
. . . to my little corner of the universe, a place where dog hair is everywhere, best friends have four legs (or three) and we’re fully committed to long walks in the park especially if there’s squirrels involved. This is Charlie. she’s my Soulmate, my Constant and the best decision I ever made. She is equal parts spicy and snuggle monster and I happily let her steal the show every chance she gets! I’m Aly, I’m her side kick and I have the best job in the entire world.
What does Charlie have to do with anything? . . . Although I fell in love with photography a long long time ago like a lot of talented humans in this industry, Charlie taught me the significance of documenting a full life. You see she’s a “Lemon” - the best dog in the world with a body that just can’t keep up. I learned early on that life with her might look a little different and time wouldn’t always be on our side. So I started creating snap shots of our story, her quirky personality, and beautiful view of the world through those baby blues. Overtime, I built an archive of images that reflect the love and bond I share with her that’s become a memoir of my life. If you’re a human that’s lucky enough to have the unconditional love of a dog OR cat you’ve had the chance to live a full and beautiful life. Because when you open your heart to loving something that loves you without conditions, you’ve found the secret to Happiness. What I mean to say is, life is beautiful but brief and it would be a shame not to take moments to cherish it . . .
After almost ten years of shooting, and a total transplant from west coast to east coast, I can still confidently say I’m in love with what I do. Photography has changed my life. Introduced me to so many incredible humans (and pups) on the journey, and given me the honor of telling a lifetime of beautiful stories.
